2024 Officer Nomination Form

The leadership of Redeemer Presbyterian Church is made up of two offices, elder and deacon.

Elders are responsible to govern and lead the church providing spiritual oversight of the people and the ministries of the church. 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4

The office of deacon is one of service and helps. The deacons work alongside and under the direction of the elders to care for the physical and spiritual needs of people, as well as oversight of the church facilities and finances. Acts 6:1-7; 1 Timothy 3:8-13
Officer Nomination

Prayerfully look around and see who is already caring for people’s souls and encouraging them to grow and follow Jesus. Look around to see who is serving and caring for others needs and has a heart for mercy.   These are the people you should nominate to go through the training program.  The only limitations are that you are a communing member, that you cannot nominate a family member and that the nominee must be a male member who shows godly character as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

After prayerfully considering my nominee, in light of the biblical requirements in 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1, I believe, by God’s grace, this individual possesses these qualities, briefly summarized below:



· He has demonstrated a heart for shepherding and/ or service
· His speech and actions are above reproach & he is humble, gentle, and not quarrelsome
· He understands the need for and is committed to learning sound doctrine (particularly as expressed in the Westminster Standards).
· If married, he is completely faithful to his wife and lovingly leads and manages the family God has given him (providing for them physically and emotionally)
